Riva Scoiattolo

Production years: 1950–1957 | Number built: 137 | Length: 4.12–4.30 m

This Riva, equipped with an outboard engine, was introduced in 1950 under the type designation AV. From 1953 onwards, the option to choose from various engine brands was discontinued, and a 25 hp Evinrude Big Twin was offered instead. Distinctive features of this later version included a small spoiler on the transom, designed by Carlo Riva, and the throttle handle. The windscreen was made of Perspex without a frame, the dashboard was finished in green vinyl and the steering wheel was sourced from Fiat. The interior consisted of two benches, with a storage space for tools at the rear.
